SubMeter Ledger is for landlords, hostel and shop owners, and anyone who pays one electricity, water or gas bill and recovers a share from the people on sub-meters. Read the meters, enter the total printed on the utility company's bill, and the app works out what each tenant owes.

Every number is shown, not hidden
• Bill total, the fixed or line-rent portion, and the amount actually split by usage
• Total sub-meter units, unmetered units, and what those unmetered units cost
• The rate per unit, each tenant's units, and the total allocated
• A tenant who questions their share can be shown exactly how it was derived

Readings that survive real meters
• Previous reading filled in from history, with a live consumed readout as you type
• Rollover handled for 5 and 6 digit dials, so a meter passing 99999 does not read as negative
• Multiplier support for meters that read on a CT ratio
• Photograph the dial with your camera or pick from the gallery, kept with the reading

Splits you can defend
• Choose how the fixed or standing charge is divided: equally, by usage, or landlord pays
• Choose who absorbs unmetered units: the landlord, or shared across tenants pro-rata
• Part-month tenants prorate the fixed charge only, because usage is already measured
• Rounding is reconciled against the bill so the shares add up to it

• Unpaid balances carry forward into the next cycle automatically
• Opening balances for tenants who already owed you something
